Director of Supplier Management & Quality

The Director of Supplier Management & Quality is responsible for quality control processes, supplier management and all issues related to pricing, efficiency and quality. The role requires a very strong ability to closely work with and manage Asian suppliers. It also requires strong collaboration with team members in Sourcing, Demand and Supply Planning, and Logistics.

Supplier Quality & Management

  • Ensure processes for quality management are established, implemented and maintained.
  • Work with suppliers to implement quality processes, control and quality points. Defective products are caught before shipping.
  • Work with suppliers to perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Develops, maintains and publishes supplier scorecards based on KPI’s, performance and quality factors.
  • Tracks, investigates and responds in a timely manner to all customer quality complaints.
  • Ensure that all QMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001…) and GFSI standard (SQL, BRC, IFS…), HAACP, GMP and other requirements are maintained and followed by suppliers.
  • Manages and arranges supplier audits for food safety, quality control and fair labor practices. Ensures that suppliers meet all compliance and regulatory laws.
  • Manages and maintains database of each suppliers’ product and manufacturing certifications including 3rd party testing.
  • Conducts quarterly supplier business reviews.
  • In conjunction with Demand and Supply Planning works with suppliers on capacity planning and lead times.
  • Strategically manages and builds supplier partnerships to develop effective, strong, functional relationships.
  • Arranges 3rd party testing of suppliers’ products as needed.
  • Regular basis after business hours’ communication to overseas suppliers as needed
  • Overseas travel 2-4 times year or as needed.
  • Manages overseas staff for managing suppliers, quality control, factory audits, production problems, pricing issues, quality inspections and issues, logistics issues and scheduling etc.
  • Hires and manages new overseas staff as needed.

Purchasing Management

  • Based on buying plans from planning sends all P.O.’s to suppliers and confirms P/I’s. Ensures that commercial documents are received, processed and payments made timely.
  • Manages overall product specifications from barcodes, packaging, and box prints. Works with graphic designer as needed for packaging, box prints, etc.
  • Ensures new product specifications are entered and maintained in ERP system.

Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in quality assurance and managing suppliers in USA & Asia.
  • BS in technical field preferred.
  • CPIM, CSCP, APICS, ASQ certifications preferred.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin a huge plus.
  • Experience in disposables, non-durables, consumer packaged goods or plastics
  • In depth knowledge of QA principles, concepts, industry practices and standards.
  • Experience with Asian contract manufacturing for certifications and quality.
  • Knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, ISO 9000, GMP standards and processes
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems processes and terminology. Six Sigma a plus.
  • Knowledge of social accountability standards (SA8000, BSCI) a plus
  • Experience working with GFSI, HACCP, ISO 9000, Safety, Health, and Environment and GMP processes
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (processes, terminology. Six Sigma a plus.
  • Knowledge of social accountability standards (SA8000, BSCI)
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance drivers and metrics, turns, margin contributions, etc.

Account Manager

Reports to: Account Management Manager
Direct Reports: 0
Hours: 40/week
Location: Petaluma HQ


We are currently seeking an Account Manager for full time employment in our Petaluma office. Account Management works in conjunction with Sales to provide exceptional service to customers through regular communication and follow up. Large portion of the work is to guarantee the accurate and timely entry of customer orders while providing excellent customer service.


About the Position

Order Entry/Data Entry - 50%

  • Use and maintain CRM system (NetSuite) for placing customer orders, capturing customer interactions (phone and email), updating account information, setting up new accounts, etc.
  • Efficient and accurate data entry in ERP System (NetSuite).

Customer Support - 30%

  • Communicate with customers on items such as orders, returns, product issues, inventory levels, product availability and shipment tracking.
  • Efficiently resolve customer issues/problems, including order shortages, claims and invoicing.

Additional Responsibilities - 20%

  • Regularly communicate with Sales on customer needs and/or issues.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other teams including Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance and Order Management.
  • Prepare shipping quotes and/or order estimates as requested, including product and shipping cost and inventory availability
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify possible out of stock situations.
  • Provide input from customers on product demand for procurement orders.


Qualifications

  • Order entry and order management experience.
  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills, written and verbal.

Senior Netsuite Techno Functional Manager


Job Responsibilities

  • Gather user/process information, create functional requirements/business process flows, designs specs and implement in Netsuite.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes, identify efficiencies and implement in Netsuite - optimizing screens, workflows, scripting, custom fields etc.
  • Design and Coding Suite Scripts, Client Scripts, User Events, Schedulers. Restlets and Port lets.
  • Customization of workflows, forms, custom records, saved searches, reports, dashboards.
  • Netsuite administrative functions – user provisioning, user & role management,
  • Responsible for application development and integration of EDI, e-Commerce (SCA) and other 3rd party software such as shipping, demand planning, forecasting, order entry etc.
  • Ensure data integrity within Netsuite such as customer records, contact data, item specifications, pricing and other entities/records.
  • Manage existing SuiteBundles and identify new bundles and third- party applications to improve upon existing processes
  • Main point of contact and administrator for Netsuite. Provide Netsuite training to staff as needed.
  • Create technical requirements documentation, SOPs and provide training to stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technology and software for integration to improve processes and user interaction with Netsuite.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in a hands-on IT/technology role. 3+ yrs managing Netsuite
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science) preferred.
  • Prior experience in evaluating technology requirements for business processes and optimizing processes and technology for higher productivity and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with CRM, accounting, inventory and order management systems.
  • NetSuite Administrator, Suite Foundation, ERP Consultant, SuiteCloud Developer Certification a plus.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience and expertise in Netsuite Order to Cash and Procure to Pay Cycles - Sales Order, Advanced Pricing Management, Order fulfillment, Ship Order, Invoice, Item Receipt, Vendor Payment/Credits.
  • Experience customizing NetSuite fields, forms, workflow rules, record types, user roles and dashboards.
  • Familiarity in integration approaches and strategies, experience with web services (XML, SOAP, WSDL), messaging, REST protocols, and SuiteCommerce Advanced a plus
  • Excel expert. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, scripting, web services experience and skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical staff and translate user requirements into technical requirements

HR Manager

Reports to: CEO

The Human Resources Manager will administer multiple HR programs supporting all World Centric employees and serve as an ambassador for people-focused initiatives large and small. The ideal candidate is empathetic, enthusiastic and a self-starter who can juggle multiple projects and wear multiple hats. The HR Manager will drive best-practices across the Company as they relate to compensation, benefits, and organizational effectiveness, ensuring the results of their work align with and promote the Company’s mission and values. The HR Manager reports directly to the CEO and works closely with our Controller and Organizational Development Manager.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the organization's employee relations efforts, including responding to individual questions, issues, and requests from employees with an open door. Utilize HR expertise to create an environment of confidence and accountability.
  • Lead effort to proactively hire talent that supports future growth. Identify and target required skill sets and experience with an eye for cultural fit.
  • Develop a Diversity & Inclusion model, incorporating the hiring process and staff training.
  • Design innovative programs to foster learning and development.
  • Provide guidance and direction on career pathing options, advising employees on their range of options, skills/experiences needed in order to move forward.
  • Create and provide strategic direction for the development of current HR policies and procedures and make recommendations on best practices to the Management Team.
  • Update and maintain the company handbook.
  • Handle employee relations counseling and conduct investigations and research as needed.
  • Provide coaching to managers to ensure effective practices, strong employee relations, and legal compliance.

  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding including new hire paperwork and collaborating with relevant departments for equipment set up, seating, etc.
  • Manage employee benefits and services: Medical Insurance (medical, dental and vision), open enrollment, 401k /Profit Sharing, Cobra, Fitness Reimbursement, etc.
  • Manage and provide expert knowledge of Leave of Absence, Disability Insurance, and Workers Compensation policies, keeping current on federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Manage the overall performance evaluation process, including overseeing the development, drafting and dissemination of evaluation forms and ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Conduct annual Staff Engagement Survey.
  • Ensure that all HR tasks are handled. These include HR data entry, maintaining personnel files, completing employment verification requests, fulfilling employee gifts, etc.
  • Manage payroll process: processing bi-monthly payroll file, adding/changing employee information in the payroll system, calculating deductions, and working with the 3rd party provider as needed.
  • Be a champion of World Centric’s culture and values.


Experience & Skill Set

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, social science, business or a related field.
  • PHR/SPHR or similar certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years human resources experience, including supporting an organization larger than 50 people.
  • Minimum 2 years payroll administration experience.
  • Effectively utilize LinkedIn for talent acquisition.
  • Ability to demonstrate confidentiality is a must.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment related laws and ordinances.
  • Ability to solve problems and exercise good judgment in implementing and applying policies appropriately.

Product Development Manager

We are seeking a Product Development Manager to manage design and introduction of compostable food service products. This position is based at our headquarters in Petaluma, California.


Product Development

  • Manages and coordinates the company’s product development
  • Works with industrial designer and uses knowledge of injection molding, thermoforming and compression molding techniques to finalize product designs for food service disposables and other compostable packaging.
  • Ensures product designs meet requirements for aesthetics, usability and performance.
  • Works with external customers to execute designs, modifications, prototypes as per their requirements.
  • Evaluates and resolves technical feasibility, design optimization and production issues.
  • Responsible for quoting pricing for new products based on manufacturing, material and other costs.
  • Works with suppliers for prototype tooling and final product tooling.
  • Responsible for product lifecycle management. Manages multiple development projects and ensures delivery on time and to quality specs.
  • Organizes, tracks and manages all documents, design files and communication from initial request/concept to final product delivery.
  • Tracks/updates new sku development from conception to purchasing hand off
    • Maintains lists of products proposed, in development and finalized.
    • Coordinates such lists with Marketing for photography, sell sheet and catalog creation
    • Establishes timelines and continually monitors product development process
    • Consistently communicates with suppliers to track design and development work-flow
    • Tracks all custom molded special order items, mold development progress, mold prototyping, and mold billing to customers.
  • Manages roll out of new products, including:
    • Working with marketing for spec sheets for new sku’s
    • Arranging shipping of new sku sales samples to sales reps
    • Using space modeling software to analyze product specs and propose most efficient packaging, box sizes, pallet and truckload maximizations.
  • Supports new product development or research as needed

Product Management

  • Responsible for identifying and recommending new product initiatives and related incentives in collaboration with regional sales managers, marketing, purchasing, and head of creative (CEO).
  • Researches and monitors existing client base and industry developments and identifies potential new product opportunities
  • Performs competitive analysis including pricing of competitors products not stocked and business potential for stocking.
  • Crafts business cases and product plans for new product concepts or features.


Required Skills

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in product design and management
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design/Engineering or related field
  • Understanding of injection molding, thermoforming, compression molding processes, capabilities and design constraints.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and ability to develop detailed drawings a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of product development processes and project management
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Familiar with logistics and production planning concepts
  • Broad range of computer skills—database, spreadsheet, and logistics software packages
  • Self-directed; ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change
  • Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels
