Tools for a Conscious Living Part IV: Powering Change

In a world that encourages constant consumption, Tools for Conscious Living invites us to pause, reflect, and reconsider what truly matters. After exploring ethical purchasing decisions of every day products in Part III: Shopping with Intention, now we turn to one of the largest contributors to environmental harm: the energy that powers our daily lives. Here are practical ways to rethink your energy use and take meaningful steps toward a cleaner, healthier future:

  • Drive less and travel less - use public transportation, bike and walk more. Fossil Fuel exhausts from automobiles are one of the leading causes of global warming together with increased pollution and health effects like asthma.
  • Support renewable energy. If you can afford it, install solar panels on your house. Choose green energy for your home if you live in a community that offers a choice, where 100% of your energy comes from renewable resources like wind and solar farms.
A better world is possible and it is up to us to makeit happen
