Every meal we share tells a story—one that often begins in fields, kitchens, and communities shaped by the hands of immigrants and refugees. They don’t just work in our food system; they ARE our food system. They’ve enriched our tables and our culture. Now it’s our turn to invest in their success. Between November 25th and December 5th, World Centric is honored to match donations—up to $15,000 each—for three incredible nonprofit partners this Giving Tuesday: MIGRANT JUSTICE, OAKLAND BLOOM, and AMERICANS FOR IMMIGRANT JUSTICE working to ensure dignity and opportunity for the people who form the foundation of our food system. Together we can drive positive change for a better world.
Our food system depends on the contributions of immigrant and refugee communities. From the farmworkers who harvest fresh produce to the culinary entrepreneurs bringing flavors from around the world to our tables, these individuals enrich our lives in countless ways. Yet many face significant injustice: exploitative conditions for low wages, lack of legal protections and workplace safety, and exclusion from the economic prosperity they help create.
At World Centric, we believe that taking care of people and planet are inseparable goals. Our compostable foodservice products are designed to reduce waste and environmental impact, but we also recognize that true sustainability includes supporting the people who grow, prepare, and serve our food. When we invest in their wellbeing, we strengthen entire communities and build a more resilient, equitable food system for everyone. Supporting them isn't charity, it's a smart investment in thriving communities.
This Giving Tuesday, every dollar you donate to these three organizations will be matched by World Centric, up to $15,000 per organization. That means your donations can help unlock up to $90,000 in total support for immigrant and refugee communities.
Every contribution brings us closer. Together, we can honor the contributions of the people behind our food and build a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
